You had me at Waffles. Pass me the syrup, please! Enjoy a delicious and nutritious high protein waffles this National Waffle Day!

Waffles Ingredients:

  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup plain whole milk Greek yogurt
  • 2 Tablespoons unsweetened almond milk, or any non-dairy milk
  • ½ Tablespoon sugar free maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 scoop (25 grams) of Genetix Lean Whey – Vanilla protein powder
  • ¾ cup old rolled oats
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt
  • cooking spray, we like using coconut or avocado oil spray

    Method:

    • Preheat waffle iron to medium-high heat and spray with cooking spray.
    • Add all ingredients to a high-powered blender and blend until smooth.
    • Pour a roughly ½ cup of the mixture into preheated waffle iron, close and cook for about 3-4 minutes, until golden brown.
    • Remove from waffle iron and serve with a drizzle of sugar free maple syrup and nut butter or toppings of choice Greek yoghurt, fruit, berries, chopped nuts, coconut butter, chocolate, or anything you feel like it!
